Rail grinding
For hardly any maintenance operation, the reasons for its performance have changed as much as for rail grinding. Today, this process is used for a variety of purposes ranging from reprofiling to the elimination of head checks and from the removal of corrugation to the improvement of the acoustic properties of the rail.
With our RG 48 I + II, we own two of the most high-performing rail grinders in Europe. In addition, we use our SPML 16 for the grinding of track.
The GWM 550 is block grinder for both tracks and switches and clearly achieves the best upper face quality of all rail grinding machines. It is ideal for acoustic grinding.
